Two years later, and one month into Israel's war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the scene is unrecognizable. On the show's first day, the IAI pavilion was surrounded by a red cordon, which was removed by the second day. IAI and Elbit Systems did not reply to an emailed CNBC request for comment. The Germany deal, which would be Israel's biggest ever defence sale, follows a European arms build-up in response to Russia's war in Ukraine. It is the top layer of Israel's missile defense array, which extends from Iron Dome that intercepts short-range rockets to Arrow-3's long-range missiles that destroy any non-conventional warheads at a safe altitude. Talks with the German defense ministry have been accelerated and the aim is to export the system in the near future, said Israel's Defense Ministry. The project has U.S. backing so the sale would require approval from Washington, the ministry said. State-owned Israel Aerospace Industries (ISRAI.UL) is the project's main contractor and Boeing (BA.N) is involved in producing the interceptors.

After more than two decades of secrecy, Israel in July went public with the existence of armed drones in its arsenal. Ungaria se va dota cu sistemul israelian de apărare aeriană Iron Dome (Domul de Fier), menit să protejeze de atacuri cu rachete cu rază scurtă de acţiune şi de artilerie, informează duminică MTI, citând portalul israelian Yedioth Ahronoth, potrivit Agerpres. Noul sistem va fi produs şi livrat de ELTA Systems Ltd, subsidiară a companiei de stat Israel Aerospace Industries. Sistemul ELM-2084 poate detecta aeronave care zboară la altitudini scăzute, elicoptere, drone, rachete şi proiectile de artilerie. ELTA a vândut până acum peste 100 de sisteme radar în valoare de peste 2 miliarde de dolari Canadei, Indiei şi Finlandei, între alte ţări. Israel își activează destul de frecvent sistemul de apărare Iron Dome, când asupra teritoriului israelian sunt lansate rachete din Fâșia Gaza.
